The Role

The new Energy Advisor will work as a member of a small project team, carrying out home energy assessments in the project area – Eastern and Highland Perthshire – either in people’s homes or by remote survey, and support them to reduce their energy consumption.

The postholder will also be expected to contribute to promoting the service throughout the area, including attending local events, providing information for blogs and speaking to community meetings, raising awareness of the need to make changes to save energy and reduce CO2 output.

The post holder will either already be qualified in Energy Assessment to City and Guilds 6361 level or be willing to undertake online training to achieve this qualification within the probationary period.

As the position requires travel, an ability to drive and access to a vehicle is essential. A mileage allowance will be paid.

The role will require some evening and weekend working, with time off in lieu
